Center for Gifted Studies

At the Center for Gifted Studies, we are committed to empowering students to explore their passions and achieve ambitious goals through high-quality, purposeful learning. As a comprehensive, full-time gifted program, we offer a rigorous and advanced curriculum across all content areas, grounded in the Florida Gifted Frameworks.

Students benefit from daily gifted services delivered by gifted-endorsed teachers who create enriched, integrated learning experiences that promote deep content knowledge, research skills, and both critical and creative thinking. Collaboration with intellectual peers is central to our approach, fostering innovation, perseverance, and a strong sense of self-efficacy.

Students in this program have a feeder assurance to Dunedin Highland Middle School's Center for Gifted Studies upon application.

Gifted Resources for parents

 

Application Criteria

Students applying for grade 1 must:
  • Have been formally evaluated with a qualifying IQ score
  • Submit a copy of their psychological report
  • Be awaiting gifted eligibility
Student applying for grades 2-5 must:
  • Meet all the state requirements for gifted placement

  • A copy of their Educational Plan must be provided

 Failure to provide this information by the application deadline may result in ineligibility for the applicant. Students who meet eligibility criteria after the deadline may submit a late application.
