Mrs. Brown has been a dedicated member of the Pinellas County Schools community since 1999, bringing a rich blend of instructional expertise and leadership experience shaped by both domestic and international service.

Her career in education began overseas, teaching from 1997–1999 for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools (DoDDS) in Panama at Curundu Elementary School. This early experience offered her a global perspective on student needs and strengthened her commitment to supporting diverse learners.

In 1999, Mrs. Brown joined Pinellas County Schools, beginning as a classroom teacher at Pinellas Park Elementary (1999–2003). She later transitioned into several key leadership roles, serving as a Curriculum Specialist (2003–2005) and a Reading Coach (2005–2007), where she supported schoolwide literacy instruction and teacher development.

Her administrative leadership began in 2007 when she became the Assistant Principal at Southern Oak Elementary, a position she held for five years (2007–2012). In 2012, she was appointed Principal of Bardmoor Elementary, leading the school proudly and effectively for twelve years until 2024. Her tenure was marked by a strong focus on collaborative culture, instructional excellence, and meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff.

A native of Live Oak, Florida, Mrs. Brown earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University (1993) and her master’s degree in educational leadership (2002) from the University of South Florida.
